As part of our celebrating culture inquiry unit, we will be visiting Mildura Arts Centre on Wednesday 26th August to view the current Bark Canoe exhibition. This exhibition aims to promote the ways in which Mildura's Aboriginal community is forever changing and will be a fantastic follow on from our class learning. A member of the Aboriginal Community will provide us with a talk about the Bark Canoe project and answer any questions the students may have. We will also be given a cultural presentation from some Chaffey Secondary students who will be teaching us a dance and song from the Koorie culture. It should be a very exciting afternoon! The cost of this excursion is $3 which will taken from your fees.
